Mercedes Rosado
Vice President
Mercedes is from Marquette, Michigan, and has been around aviation most of her life. Her dad is an air traffic controller, and she loved going to work with him to see planes fly, and all the behind-the-scenes coordination and communication that went into a successful flight. A family friend took her flying in his plane when she was in high school and … was absolutely hooked, and set her sights on being a pilot. After attending the University of Kentucky on an ROTC scholarship, she went to USAF pilot training, and follow on training on the MC-130J, which brought her to Albuquerque in 2025. After traveling the world, Mercedes is so glad to be back in Albuquerque, this time as an instructor stationed at Kirtland AFB, developing the next generation of MC-130J aviators.
When not at work, she is either very active (running, cycling, mountain biking, etc), or very still (reading, yoga, crafting), and always loves hanging out with her dog, Lake.
She found WAI through a friend & mentor, and is so thankful for the opportunity to serve as vice president and share the resources and network found within the Land of Enchantment Chapter. Girls can do anything!
